• THREE PADS, 17.5 X 11.8 INCHES EACH: Three activated carbon pads, each about 17.5 x 11.8 inches and 0.4 inches thick, cut with household scissors to whatever shape the slot needs.
• CARBON FOR ODOR, MESH FOR LINT: A thick open pad carrying activated carbon. It catches lint, hair, dust and cooking grease before they reach the equipment behind it, and the carbon reduces cooking, pet, smoke and musty odors. It is a pre-filter that protects the filter behind it, not a replacement for a pleated or HEPA filter.
• CUT IT TO ANY SHAPE: Measure the opening, mark the pad and cut. Fits range hoods, furnace and AC return vents, window air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, grow tents, vent covers and air cleaners. Because it is cut to size, it does not depend on a model number matching.
• THICKER THAN A SHEET PRE-FILTER: At 0.4 inches the pad holds more carbon than a thin sheet, so it lasts longer in a kitchen hood or a pet household. CFS is an independent brand - a compatible replacement, not an original manufacturer part.
• WHEN TO CHANGE IT: Replace when the pad darkens or airflow drops, usually every 1 to 3 months. Three pads cover most of a year on one unit. Cut the new piece from the old one as a template.
